Good evening, all. I was extremely excited when HuMOM told us we were going to get to contribute to a blog for all of our adopters and fans. I knew she would choose me first. Why wouldn't she? I'm the smartest boy and her favorite rat of all time, so I should naturally start this off.
I first must make an obvious observation. These past few weeks the rat room has become a baby factory. It seems that a few of my dear friends have given birth to litters, and I wasn't even invited to sire any of them! I need to have a word with HuMOM on that subject. I may be the oldest boy here, but my tools still function! I'm still happy to have all of the little ones around, though. They are born with no fur and their eyes and ears are closed, but even at that stage, they are precious. I guess you would have to be a rat to fully appreciate it. And these girls here at Tiger Tail have become wonderful mothers. I watch them nurse their tiny young, carry them back to the nest when they have ventured to0 far, and clean them around the clock. A mother's love is never forgotten. My mother passed away when I was still very young. Her name was Mimzy, and she loved my HuMOM very much. I remembered how sad she was when mimzy passed away. Maybe that's why we bonded so closely. My rat mom would let me nurse, even when I was too old for it. She just loved all of her babies. Alice is like that with her pups. She is very baby oriented.
While they are fun to have around, I'm still glad when they find new homes. When there aren't babies all around, HuMOM has more time to play and give treats and scritch all around my back and neck. Can't wait for that!! Mom says these pups are all going to such good homes where they will truly be loved. No one will ever feed them to a snake or keep them in a glass cage. They will have toys and treats and they will be loved. These are some very lucky pups!!!
Well, I'm a fat lazy man rat, so I do believe I'm going to go urinate in my corner cube, roll in it, and go to sleep. Night y'all!!
